Psychotherapeutic Counsellor for Individuals and Couples

Hi, I'm Dee, a BACP-registered therapist based in Ealing, offering in-person and online counselling for individuals and couples. I provide short- and long-term therapy, tailored to your needs and goals.

How I Can Help

Whether you're struggling in a relationship, feeling disconnected from yourself, or noticing the same patterns repeating in your life, therapy can offer a space to explore what is happening and why.

I work with individuals and couples seeking to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, navigate relationship difficulties, improve communication, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy and shaped by an interest in relationships, identity, belonging, neurodivergence, and the ways in which culture and life experiences shape how we see ourselves and relate to others.

Often, people come to therapy because they find themselves caught in familiar patterns - such as people-pleasing, self-doubt, conflict avoidance, overthinking, or difficulty expressing their needs. Together, we can explore where those patterns originated and whether they are still serving you today.

Individual Counselling

People come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes there is a specific issue they want support with. At other times, there is a sense that something isn't quite working - whether that's in relationships, at work, in family life, or in the relationship they have with themselves.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I aim to help you understand yourself more fully, build greater self-awareness, and make changes that are meaningful and sustainable. Therapy can help you trust yourself more, communicate more clearly, and feel more confident in your relationships and decisions.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, self-doubt and low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing and boundary issues, trauma and difficult life experiences, life transitions, questions of identity and belonging, Adult Third Culture Kid (TCK) experiences, cultural and migration-related challenges, neurodivergence, and questions around identity, sexuality and gender.

Relationships can be a source of connection and fulfilment, but they can also leave us feeling misunderstood, frustrated or alone. Couples often come to therapy feeling stuck in repetitive patterns - conversations become arguments, needs go unheard, or one person withdraws while the other tries harder to connect.

Often, the difficulty is not a lack of love or commitment, but a pattern that has developed between two people over time. Each partner may be reacting in ways that make sense from their own perspective, yet together these reactions can create cycles of conflict, withdrawal, criticism, defensiveness or disconnection.

I help couples understand what is happening between them, including how earlier experiences, family relationships, culture and individual differences may be shaping the relationship, and develop more direct and effective ways of communicating and relating. Where helpful, I may introduce simple models and tools to help make these patterns easier to understand and work with.

I work with couples experiencing communication difficulties, repetitive conflict, emotional disconnection, trust and vulnerability issues, differences in emotional or sexual needs, neurodivergence, cross-cultural differences, and major life decisions such as children, finances and commitment. I also welcome couples exploring relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures.

Couples and Relationship Counselling

About Me

I am a Transactional Analysis (TA) psychotherapeutic counsellor working with adults and couples.

I was born and raised in the UK but spent a decade in Asia and Europe before returning home. During this time, I experienced relocation, cultural adaptation, identity shifts, and questions of belonging firsthand. On returning to the UK, I trained as a therapist. My experiences of living and working across cultures sparked a lasting interest in how relationships, culture, and wider social influences shape our sense of self.

Many people who seek me out have experience of migration, living between cultures, cross-cultural relationships, or a sense of not fully belonging in one place.

This continues to shape the way I work today, particularly with people navigating questions of identity and belonging, experiences of feeling different or misunderstood, and the pressure to adapt, fit in, or mask aspects of themselves.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and relational. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences, challenge old patterns, and develop a different relationship with themselves and others.

I work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and aim to create a space where differences can be explored openly and without judgement, and where people can feel more confident in themselves and their choices.
